Kidnapping of our integrity

It always makes the headlines when a child is kidnapped. Family members, friends, law enforcement, everyone gets involved in trying to save the child. We pray for the safe return of the child, we do everything possible to help the family and we keep alert for information that might help. However, there has been a kidnapping that has gone almost unnoticed! It is the kidnapping of our integrity!
America in no longer a nation filled with people of high standards. You can’t just shake hands on a business deal and expect the other person to be honest. We have come to expect immoral and impure behavior form young people. In sports, it doesn’t matter how you do it, just win! In business, it’s not how good can you make your product, the only thing that matters is how much money you make. What has happened? Who kidnapped our integrity? How can we get it back?
There have been five factors involved in the kidnapping of our integrity.
1. Double messages which confuse our values
2. The misguided concept of keeping religion out of public life causes good people to be silent about important matters
3. A false concept of tolerance and acceptance has caused us to accept sinful lifestyles.
4. A fear of consequences that might occur when we stand for truth has pushed Christians into a corner.
5. A lack of understanding of truth. Because people are not sure of what is right, they refuse to stand up for anything.
